Authentic rural farm in Dubicze Cerkiewne (Podlachia province). Landlady Maria Zuk gives her guests almost the entire house. Convenient for 9 people: 3 in a room on the ground floor and 6 in the attic. Spacious room with a big dining table and traditional kitchen with a bread oven and traditional cooker is usualy a meeting place for guests. Food prepared on a board such a furnace tastes more authentic. There is also a modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and sink. There is also a charming porch and a covered terrace adjacent to the house. The house is equipped with toilet and a shower. During cooler days it is heated by a tiled stove. There is also much space to park cars in the courtyard. There are no obstacles against coming with a dog or cat. Breakfast is served with vegetables from the backyard garden and also truly organic potatoes, eggs and milk. You can spend evenings by the fire, and non-smokers are welcome to sleep in the hay in the barn. More about our house you can read here.

The landlady can spice up the stay of her guests with interesting stories and like most locals "howoryt po swojomu". For those with a flair for language it is a great attraction. Stories told by the landlady are usualy barely understandable for visitors. For many is difficult to guess the rebus. Countryside Dubicze Cerkiewne is a true cultural melting pot. Both, linguistic and religious. Most people identify themselves with the Orthodox church as proved by the local church and the cemetery. However a large group of followers belongs to the Pentecostal church, Baptists or Jehovah's Witnesses. Catholics are a minority.
Forests, fields, water, walking, biking

A very little traffic on the local roads and the multitude of forest paths create a great opportunity to make many interesting cycling trips. The true Bialowieza Forest begins just 4 km away from our farm. On hot summer days Bachmaty deluge (in the range of a walking trip) assures swimming and boating equipment (kayaks, pedal boats, small boats and rowing boats). Surrounding forests at the certain times of the year are full of mushrooms and berries. Sandy ground on its numerous wasteland is so rich in many different species of herbs that locals can earn with the gathering. A smell associated with drying herbs can be an unforgettable experience.
